Assassin’s Creed Mirage is one of Ubisoft’s biggest releases of the year, as it embraces the stealth roots of older Assassin’s Creed titles. However, there’s still no gameplay or even a release date. Fortunately, it seems the latter has been confirmed, courtesy of retailers in Japan.
As discovered by @Renka_schedule on Twitter, Amazon Japan, Yodabashi, and Bic Camera have listed the PS5 version for release on October 12th. As Gematsu notes, “Japanese retailers generally don’t date product unless official. In other words, placeholder dates aren’t a thing.” While Ubisoft hasn’t officially confirmed the release date, Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson recently reported an internal delay to October.
Ubisoft Forward, a showcase for the publisher’s upcoming games, is set for June 12th. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is rumored to have gameplay reveal there, so a release date announcement may happen. Then again, with the PlayStation Showcase set for today at 1 PM PDT, the release date could be announced there. Stay tuned in the meantime.
