Larian Studios’ Baldur’s Gate 3 has a release date for Steam Early Access. It’s coming in August but there’s a giant “maybe” due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. While we wait, there’s a brand new trailer that teases a solution to that tadpole burrowing through the player’s head. Check it out below.
In a new development update, CEO Sven Vincke said that any delay will be due to the pandemic affecting motion capture and performance. Regardless, a lot of progress has been made since the last demo at PAX East 2020. The team has implemented a lot of feedback since then, including some changes to how the narration is handled.
A new gameplay livestream will be released on June 18th with Vincke teasing the Underdark. Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently in development for PC and Google Stadia. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime, especially as day one of the Guerrilla Collective rolls on.
