Larian Studios had tons of Baldur’s Gate 3 announcements recently, from a release date to the confirmation of PS5 version. One of the most underrated is the reveal of the antagonistic General Ketheric Khorm, a necromancer marching on Baldur’s Gate with an undead army. He’s voiced by J.K. Simmons, better known for his role as J. Johan Jameson in the Spider-Man films.
A behind-the-scenes video is available, showcasing Simmons’ reading of the character, and it’s a sight to behold (and hear). Interestingly, Thorm isn’t the main antagonist. He’s one of three main antagonists throughout the story, whether you decide to remove the Illithid tadpoles or not. Whatever Thorm’s motivations, this reveal should give fans a better idea of what they’re up against.
Baldur’s Gate 3 launches on August 31st for PS5, PC, Mac and GeForce Now. It will support cross-platform progression and local split-screen co-op on all platforms. Head here for more details on its Deluxe and Collector’s Editions.
