2023 has no shortage of major upcoming games to look forward to, but even in that mighty company, Baldur’s Gate 3 has to rank as one of the biggest. Larian Studios’ RPG has been among the most highly anticipated upcoming titles for quite some time, and though it was originally set to launch only for PC, the developer has now confirmed that won’t be the case.
At Sony’s recent State of Play presentation, Larian Studios announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 will also be available for PS5 upon launch, which, given the widespread critical and commercial success by the studio’s past outings on consoles, shouldn’t come as a massive surprise. New gameplay footage was also shown off, showcasing various locations and characters, alongside glimpses of combat. Check out the trailer below.
Meanwhile, Larian has also followed up on its previous announcement that the game is set to launch in August and confirmed a precise release date. Baldur’s Gate 3 will launch for PS5 and PC on August 31.
