If you’re the type who might smile when a fearsome dragon is bellowing a challenge in your face, the Dual Blades in Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance might be the perfect weapons for you.
They bring flurries of strikes, quick animations, and the ability to keep your foes on their toes as you flit between positions, strike weak spots and emerge unscathed. Of course, the Boost Bracer is now something to consider, and we’re pretty excited about how it transforms the move set. You essentially extend each combo, adding the Bracer’s energy to your attacks for some increased damage, while your agility also gains advantages.
Essentially, the Bracer dials up the Dual Blades’ already awesome damage potential to a hundred and makes you look very cool in the process. We can already imagine how many of you will leverage that to make bringing down even the most fearsome monsters look like child’s play.
We’re definitely considering them as our weapon of choice against the new Elder Dragon when we finally take it on. Until then, we’re looking forward to more breakdown trailers for the other weapon type ahead of Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance’s release in 2027 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
