Baldur’s Gate 3 Will Allow Removal of Co-op Party Members Who Join Your Campaign

It's called Withers’ Wardrobe of Wayward Friends, and Larian wants to launch it "very soon." Modding support is also in the works.

Larian Studios had much to discuss in its recent Steam Community post for Baldur’s Gate 3, from confirming major performance improvements with Patch 2 to discussing “cut content.” It also outlined its plans, which are to continue monitoring bugs and patch them “as fast as we can.”

Improvements are also being made based on feedback. “Baldur’s Gate 3 means so much to a great deal of you, and in turn, that means the world to us. We love this game, and we’re not done with it yet. We welcome your feedback, your threads, and also your words of encouragement.”

One noteworthy feature that it hopes to launch “very soon” is Withers’ Wardrobe of Wayward Friends. You probably remember Withers is the person who lets you respec your character. However, this feature will allow for removing co-op party members who join your campaign, addressing a complaint that players couldn’t drop in and out from other players’ campaigns.

Changing your appearance mid-playthrough is still in the works, though a release date isn’t confirmed (so it could skip Patch 2). More features are coming, including modding support, so stay tuned.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PC – check out our review for more details. It’s coming to PS5 on September 6th and later this year for Xbox Series X/S.
