In the lead-up to the launch of Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, developer Don’t Nod and publisher Focus Entertainment have released few trailers to highlight different aspects of the game, from its cinematic narrative-driven experience to its emphasis on choice-and-consequence mechanics. In another new trailer shared by Focus Entertainment on Twitter, more details are revealed on the upcoming action RPG’s setting.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is set in the year 1695, and will take players to the titular New Eden, a cold and harsh yet populated region in North America, which was settled by European immigrants decades before the events of the game. The lands of New Eden, however, are harsh and tainted by a “terrible curse”, while the Veil – the boundary that separates the living from the dead – is also thin in the region.
The trailer also offers glimpses of the environmental variety you can expect from the game’s setting, which will range from mountains and swamps to rivers and forests. Check out the trailer below for more details.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden launches on February 13 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
