EA and DICE have recently announced that Xbox Series X/S are Battlefield 2042’s official consoles as part of new marketing deal. In a recent press release, a number of official partners have been announced for Battlefield 2042, including Nvidia, Polaris, Logitech, WD_Black, and of course, Xbox Series X/S.
Battlefield 2042 will be coming to PlayStation consoles as well, but the partnership seems to suggest that Xbox Series consoles might be the best place to play. This might entail timed DLC exclusivity in the future, or better visual fidelity and framerates. While Battlefield 2042 wouldn’t be launching as day 1 release on Xbox Game Pass, it’s sure to get included as all EA published games make their way to EA Play some time after launch – which is included with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriptions.
EA will also be hosting its EA Play Live event on July 22, where more details on the game will be shelled out. Battlefield 2042 releases on October 22, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.
