Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have had frequent and consistent access to an ever-expanding library of EA-published titles for quite some time, owing to the fact that the subscription service also includes EA’s own subscription catalog, EA Play. As part of that, soon, Battlefield 2042 will become accessible as well.
EA recently announced that the multiplayer shooter would be joining EA Play (and, by extension, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate) sometime in December, though it turns out that’s happening little earlier than expected. Battlefield 2042 – Season 3: Escalation will be kicking off on November 22, and on the same day, the first person shooter will also become available via EA Play and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Additionally, EA will also hold free periods for the game on all platforms next month, allowing access to anyone and everyone for short windows- December 1-4 for Xbox, December 1-5 for PC, and December 16-23 for PlayStation. If you’re on the fence about the game but are willing to give it a shot, especially after the launch of its third season, this might be a good opportunity to do just that.
Battlefield 2042 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
