Battlefield 2042’s revamped Scoreboard, which would more clearly indicate player names and points, has seen a delay. Instead of mid to late February, it’s now scheduled to release in early March. DICE noted on Twitter that the additional time would help “ensure we improve the quality of our Updates, and include additional changes.”
Perhaps that means K/D scoring and End of Round reporting will be added when the Scoreboard rolls out rather than later. This announcement follows the delay of Season One, which now begins in early Summer. Though its contents have yet to be revealed, the development team will be using the time to add features like VOIP on all platforms, Player Profiles and a refined ping system.
Battlefield 2042 is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It continues to face scrutiny for its performance with Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson calling it “disappointing.” Nevertheless, he also felt that it can “do really well over the course of time.” Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
