Battlefield 2042 has struggled massively since its launch, and in the absence of much-needed fixes to the less-than-stellar experience, promised and long-overdue content updates, and proper communication from the game’s developers, the shooter has seen its player base dwindling further and further.
DICE does have content and fixes coming for Battlefield 2042 though, and as you might expect, not all of it has been officially unveiled. Some of this seems to have been uncovered. Recently, Battlefield 2042 dataminer took to Twitter and shared newly discovered Specialists that aren’t yet part of the game, names Liz, Crawford, and Hale, the latter of which seems to be an RC Drone specialist.
Other details on the Specialists aren’t available, and there’s no telling when (or if) they’ll be added to the game exactly, especially with DICE’s plans for the game’s future looking so nebulous right now- but it wouldn’t be too surprising to see at least a couple of them coming to the shooter when its first season launches in the summer.
That first season, incidentally, will also begin the process of changing the design of Battlefield 2042’s maps based on feedback from players. Read more on that through here.
