Battlefield 2042 Year 2 References Found in Origin API

Battlefield 2042 might be getting ready for a nother full year of content releases if the presence of a Year 2 upgrade on Origin is any indication.

A potential Year 2 Upgrade for Battlefield 2042 has been spotted on EA’s digital storefront Origin. Reddit user daniluk400 was able to use the Origin API to verify the existence of the upgrade.

The upgrade currently features placeholder text “BATTLEFIELD 2042 – YEAR 2 UPGRADE – PC – WW”. The upgrade is apparently priced at 2 euro, but the pricing could also potentially be a placeholder for the time being. The listing also seems to have been last updated on March 17, which means it likely isn’t an old item that was left on Origin’s servers and forgotten about.

Publisher EA and developer DICE have yet to make any new announcements about future content for Battlefield 2042. The game recently kicked off its fourth season, dubbed Eleventh Hour, which introduced a host of new content, including a new ap, a new recon, and new weapons.

Battlefield 2042 kicked off Season 4: Eleventh Hour back at the end of February, and DICE hasn’t made any comment on potential future content for the game since then. The existence of the Battlefield 2042 Year 2 upgrade might indicate another year’s worth of content being in the works for the multiplayer shooter.
