Battlefield 2042’s Revamped Scoreboard Update Will (Finally) Arrive Next Week

Already delayed once, the beleaguered shooter's next update, which will bring a revamped Scoreboard, has been pushed back by another week.

A startling lack of features and promised mechanics was one of several reasons for Battlefield 2042’s unexpected and drastic downfall, something the game is struggling to recover from months on from its launch. One of those features (and a rather basic one at that) was a proper, detailed Scoreboard, though the update with which it was supposed to arrive has already been delayed once– though it seems you’re going to have to wait a little longer for it.

Previously due out in the first week of March, DICE recently announced in a community update that multiplayer shooter’s next update will now arrive next week, with a firm release date currently unknown. “We had intended to release it later this week, but made the decision to hold it back so that we’re best positioned to support in case of any issues that might have cropped up over the weekend,” the developer writes.

That means Weekly Missions are going to be suspend for another week. They will return when Update 3.3 launches, which will also bring “a small range of additional fixes” on top of the aforementioned revamped Scoreboard. Finally, EA Play Pro subscribers, Year 1 Pass holders, and owners of the Gold, Ultimate, and Upgraded editions will also receive the Steadfast Exclusive Legendary Bundle when the update goes live.

Recently, DICE also detailed the key issues it has identified with Battlefield 2042’s maps, promising that fixes will be made to existing maps in the game, while future maps will also be designed with the same in mind. Read more on that through here.

Season One of the shooter, meanwhile, was also delayed a month ago, and will now arrive in early summer.
