Mere hours before DICE was set to launch its first major content update for Battlefield 5, Chapter 1: Overture, it’s announced a delay for the same. This is due to an “issue” that was discovered, and rather than causing further problems for the game, the team is holding it back. It did note that fans shouldn’t expect a long delay, and that more news would come by today or “as soon as we have it”.
Chapter 1: Overture will bring a new War Story, The Last Tiger, along with a new map, Panzerstorm, for multiplayer. It will also add the Practice Range, and new Chapter progression rewards, while vehicle customization is also expected with this update.
Considering the sheer range of content, it’s not surprising that an issue emerged at the last minute. Nevertheless, DICE will update fans as it has more information.
