Battlefield 5

In the lead-up to Battlefield 5’s release next month, DICE has been offering more information about the game’s single-player War Stories. These campaign segments explore different theaters of World War 2 with different characters, even having them speak in their respective native languages. A new dev diary gives a bit more context for these different War Stories, so check it out below.

For instance, Under No Flag sees players taking control of a former bank robber who joins a special unit in the British army. Such units were fairly common during the war, and they enlisted more roguish characters to join their ranks. Nordlys takes place from the perspective of a Norwegian Resistance fighter who can use skis, and this plays a part in her ability to move around.

Along with these War Stories at launch, DICE will also release The Last Tiger in December. However, it’s confirmed that no more War Stories will be added after this, especially as Tides of War (the game’s approach to seasons) gets going. Battlefield 5 is out on November 20th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
