Battlefield 5 – Firestorm Details Possibly Leaked Through Data Mining

Loot, ranking, modes, and more.

EA has been enjoying great success with Respawn’s recently released free to play title Apex Legends, but they have one more horse in the battle royale race. Battlefield 5’s Firestorm mode launches soon, and now, thanks to data mining efforts by user on Reddit, some new informations have emerged about what we can expect from the mode.

While we’ve known for some time now that the mode will be focused on squad play, with squads of four players each vying for supremacy in a total player count of 64, it seems like that might not be the only option in the final version of the mode. Solo and duos modes also seem to be on the cards. Additionally, the map will be set in Norway (the data miner mentions that “Norway” is in the map’s name itself). Loot can be found in four tiers, while there are also safes scattered throughout the map that can be cracked and opened. You can also find new backpacks to upgrade your inventory.

Vehicles are also mentioned in the files (of course), including the likes of helicopters, a sports car, a pickup truck, tractor, and more. Firestorm will also have its own separate ranking system for players to engage with. Additionally, players can also call in reinforcements, ranging from supply drops and strafing runs to artillery strikes and vehicles.

There’s a lot of other information as well, much of it quite interesting, so take a look through the link above. With Firestorm nearing its launch, official information is bound to come in on it soon, so stay tuned.
