Battlefield 5’s own take on the battle royale genre is almost upon us. After releasing a cinematic trailer few days back and then unveiling some more details on the nitty-gritties of the mode, EA have now released a gameplay trailer that goes into details about various aspects of the Criterion-developed Firestorm mode, along with also showing- well, gameplay of course.
The trailer goes into details about what seem to the core pillars of the experience, one of which, in true Battlefield fashion, is vehicles, of which there will be seventeen when the mode launches, ranging across the land, sea, and air variety. There’re also new details on loot, which will come in three tiers (Common, Rare, and Epic), as well as lockboxes scattered throughout the map, which will contain high-end gear for players to acquire. Details on Objectives are also given out, which squads can compete each other against to complete- said completion will grant Rare and Epic loot.
There’s a lot more, so take a look at the trailer below. It’s looking quite good, and seems to retain the essence of what makes for a Battlefield experience- now to see if it lives up to the billing. Firestorm launches for free for all Battlefield 5 owners on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on March 25.
