Yesterday we reported that Bethesda’s official store listed Fallout 4’s release date as an estimated TBA 2015. However, it was quickly changed back to TBA. GamingBolt got in touch with Bethesda and asked for a clarification regarding the release date of the upcoming role playing game.
“The official store is run independently by Treehouse. We have not shared any news on a release date,” a Bethesda PR said to GamingBolt. So it seems that the official store is not being handled by Bethesda and is instead being worked on by Treehouse. For those who are unaware Treehouse works with game publishers and developers to develop and maintain their games store. Treehouse are also looking after Bioware, Square Enix and several other video games companies out there.
It must be noted that Bethesda have not outright denied the 2015 release date speculation and if it’s true it’s unlikely they would confirm it before their big showing at E3. There is also a possibility that the game is indeed coming out this year and Treehouse jumped the gun sooner than they were allowed to. Whatever it is, we will know more for sure on June 14th.
Fallout 4 is confirmed to launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
