Feral Interactive today released the genetically enhanced role-playing shooter, BioShock 2, for the Mac. Developed by 2K Marin, 2K Australia, 2K China and Digital Extremes, and published by 2K Games for games consoles and PC, BioShock 2 is a sequel to the legendary BioShock.
As well as the main game, the Mac edition of BioShock 2 also contains an entirely separate multiplayer game, The Fall of Rapture. Players take on the role of mutated test subjects for the opportunistic plasmid manufacturer Sinclair Solutions, and engage in the civil war that tore Rapture apart.
The suggested retail price for BioShock 2 for the Mac in North America is US $30.99, £21.99 (inc. VAT) in the UK and €24.99 (inc. VAT) throughout Europe.
Minimum system requirements call for a 2.0Ghz Mac with at least 4.0GB RAM, Mac OS X 10.7.2 or later, and 256MB of graphics memory. The following graphics cards are not supported: ATI X1xxx series, ATI 2xxx series, NVIDIA 9400, NVIDIA 7xxx series and Intel GMA series.
