Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth Announced for PC and Consoles

Developed internally by Annapurna Interactive, the new title is set between the first film and Blade Runner 2049, and after the Black Out.

A new Blade Runner title is in development courtesy of Annapurna Interactive’s internal team and Alcon Interactive Group. Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth is set between the first film and Blade Runner 2049, following the Black Out, and focuses on a retired Blade Runner that’s suddenly brought back for some unknown purpose. It’s coming to PC and consoles – check out the announcement trailer below.

Of course, things aren’t that simple. After the events of the short film Blade Runner Black Out 2022, the world has collapsed, and Replicant production has ceased. However, the Wallace Corporation acquires Tyrell, developer of the Nexus-8 Replicants. Ten years later, a new model entered production, which is presumably where Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth begins.

Annapurna Interactive will reveal more details about the title in the “coming months.” As the first Blade Runner game in 25 years, seeing how the story and gameplay turn out should be interesting. Stay tuned in the meantime for more details.
