Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Out This Summer, New Trailer Released

The spiritual successor to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night finally has a release window.

With all the big announcements at the recent Nintendo Direct, including PlatinumGames’ Astral Chain and Nintendo’s Super Mario Maker 2, 505 Games also announced release window for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. The Metroidvania title from Artplay, DICO, and Wayforward Technologies will be out in Summer for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It was originally meant to release last year, but faced another delay.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is considered a spiritual successor to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Designed by Koji Igarashi, the story sees the orphan Miriam traveling through a demonic castle to defeat the summoner Gebel. Several modes like Boss Rush, Roguelike, Classic, Speed Run, and Nightmare are included, along with secret playable characters to allow for different experiences.

With a captivating art-style that uses 2.5D visuals, gear to craft and find, and spells to master, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is looking pretty good. Check out the newest gameplay footage in the trailer below. You can also read our preview of the backer beta demo for more information.
