Borderlands 3 Endgame Includes New Mode Called Proving Grounds

A new mode and a returning one.

We’ve bee getting tons of new details on Gearbox Software’s upcoming looter shooter Borderlands 3 left, right, and centre as we approach its launch. At Gamescom Opening Night Live though, creative director Paul Sage took to the stage to announce details for the game’s endgame content.

Returning to Borderlands 3 is the Circle of Slaughter, the survival and round-based missions that fans of the series will be familiar with. Also coming to the game is a new mode, called Proving Grounds, which is an objective-based and time-bound mode (with six separate maps), with some interesting loot rewards, and is meant to be fas-paced a test of players’ abilities, builds, and the weapons they’ve gathered and upgraded.

You can take a look at a match of Proving Grounds below (via Joltzdude139). Meanwhile, Sage also confirmed that more endgame details will also be coming as we get closer to launch. We do know the game will have raids, so hopefully we hear more on that front soon.

Borderlands 3 is out on September 13 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more info.
