Call of Duty 2016: Dev Hiring Senior Rendering Engineer for ‘Cutting Edge’ Tech

Infinity Ward is possibly developing a new engine for the next Call of Duty game.

Infinity Ward and Activision are actively on the lookout for developers to add to their team in order to make the upcoming Call of Duty game as good as it can be. Infinity Ward has put up a listing for a senior rendering engineer on the company’s website and made it clear it is looking for someone who will be able to work in “cutting edge” technology for their “next AAA title”. The posting adds that whoever is hired will be joining an experienced team but this position will be driving the vision for the group.

It should be pointed out that the Call of Duty 2016 version team isn’t the only one that wants to change the genre for the better. We recently reported that the companies working on the next Battlefield recently posted their own job listing claiming they were looking for someone who could work with “new animation technology.” Infinity Ward isn’t talking about what cutting edge tech is going to be used. May be they are finally developing new engine for the game, but regardless they have listed out several details for the job application here.

The upcoming Call of Duty hasn’t been officially announced yet (although Infinity Ward has already teased it while back) but it’s expected to arrive on the Xbox One, PC and PS4 later this year.
