Sledgehammer Games’ Michael Condrey had, some time ago, taken to Twitter and asked fans what older Call of Duty weapons fans would like to see return to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Since advanced Warfare takes place in the future, a lot of classic and vintage Call of Duty weapons, some of which are WW2 era weapons, would have felt out of place in the game.
Now, it appears that the fans have spoken since he tweeted again, with a picture of an antique pistol, teasing its inclusion in Advanced Warfare.
The tease is all we have right now, though it’s not a leap to suggest that an announcement might be coming soon as well. Whether the gun will be bundled as part of some other content (possibly the next batch of DLC for the game) or whether it will be made available by itself, remains to be seen.
Call of duty: Advanced Warfare is out now on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and PC.
