Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is optimized to run on a variety of PC hardware containing something as old as an 8800 GT card. Remember that card? Yes that legendary card. Well that can run Black Ops 2.
Windows XP is not supported, which is a shame… well not really, but here’s the explanation for that.
“No, sorry. Since we upgraded the engine to use DirectX11, Windows XP is no longer supported. It requires Windows Vista or later,” reads the Blops 2 blog.
“Absolutely. We have tested extensively on a variety of hardware and we are very confident in the performance even at the minimum specs. The Black Ops II engine builds upon the Black Ops engine with a number of improvements including performance optimizations, enhanced graphics, and proprietary anti-cheat technology.”
Call of duty: Black Ops 2 will be released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on November 13.
