Let’s say you’re a Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 fan (we know what the follow-up question is but will show restraint on the matter). Let’s say you log into a match with your buddies and spot a Prestige Class player with a kill-death ratio of 5-0. Naturally, you get a little concerned but hell, screw that right? So you charge in and raise hell only to find said Prestige players dying repeatedly. After a while, and zero kills, he simply logs off.
Hot shot prodigy having a bad day perhaps? It’s more likely that you just encountered some one who bought their way into Prestige.
After touching on the various methods players use to cheat, Reddit user recently pointed out that “people are basically paying others for altering their accounts to give them higher KD’s, different titles, all weapon unlocks, etc. Kinda silly as the accounts are being banned, but I was wondering why we were running into so many MP’s last night and guys with 4+ KD’s dying 30+ times in a game.”
While the money is the player’s to do as he pleases, one must really ask: What’s the point of achieving a high skill level if you can’t live up to it? Of course, Treyarch is on the prowl for nearly every kind of cheater so think twice before tying to buy your way to the top.
