Call of Duty Black Ops 3: Improved Matchmaking Includes A Safe House

Will anyone want to spend that much time outfitting their safehouses?

When it comes to Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Treyarch studios is apparently going to be combining the old with the new in order to try and bring a truly great experience to fans of the series. One aspect of this touched on in the latest issue of Edge Magazine is the way safehouses will be handled in the game. Studio head Mark Lamia  talked about the way the development team has made safehouses in this edition more of a social tool and a way to spend a little down time between missions.

Players will be able to use these facilities as a kind of shared space, where they can outfit them and customize their gear using XP in between missions. Social gaming is apparently a really big thing in Black Ops 3 and Lamia said the team wanted to make it easier for this version of Call of Duty. “You’re going to know where friends are and what they’re playing. When we looked at data from Black Ops 2, we discovered that people were playing multiple game modes in a single session, and we realised we had to make that easier, especially now we have a co-op experience.”

Treyarch has said before it wants to make sure it does away with the things that have held back the series in the past. At the same time, it’s pretty clear they want to bring back what fans of the series have always loved. Treyarch is even teasing they are going to reveal a zombie mode at this year’s Comic Con on July 9. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is coming on November 6th for PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
