As is tradition with the series, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will have day one patch. This will be extremely important for disc owners of the game, since it’s required to play just about everything – multiplayer, Zombies, and Specialist Headquarters.
The patch size for both Xbox One and PS4 will be 50 GB. Digital consumers will be able to pre-load the game along with the patch, but sadly, disc owners will need additional free space. For instance, if you’re on PS4, a total of at least 112 GB of free space is required for the download. The final size for both consoles will be 55 GB after the patch, though thankfully, Blackout can be accessed after 16-20 GB of the game has been downloaded/installed.
Despite its lack of a single-player campaign, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has a hefty amount of content for fans to enjoy. Three Zombies maps with Custom Mutations and Challenges, multiplayer across 14 different maps, and the new Battle Royale mode Blackout await consumers on October 12th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
More content will also be coming post-launch (including a free Nuketown map), so there will be plenty to keep players busy.
