Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Operation Zero Revamps Black Market, Earnable Weapons Added

The first 100 Tiers in the new Contraband Stream are all clearly defined, with more diverse content added.

Tons of improvements, new content, and changes are coming in tomorrow’s update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Operation Absolute Zero may be adding new Specialist in Zero and Black Ops 2’s Hijacked to Blackout, but the biggest change could be in the Black Market. In a recent blog post, Treyarch outlined some of improvements coming in the new Contraband stream.

First off, there are now 100 defined Tiers as opposed to 200. You can preview the first 100 items in the Black Market to know what you’re getting beforehand. New weapons are also coming, and they can all be earned through the Contraband stream, including the Daemon 3XB SMG and the SWAT RFT assault rifle. New Mastercraft variants, including for the ABR 223, are also coming.

The Contraband stream overall should have more diverse content, from Reactive Camos and Reticles to Weapon Camos and Shared Warpaints (which can be equipped on outfits across different themes for the same Specialist). What happens after Tier 100? That’s when the Reserves start, and they’ll include new cosmetic items, along with a new Mastercraft. Operation First Strike Reserve items are also included in the loot pool from Tier 101 onwards.

Zombies players can also rejoice, because the Daily Tier Skip has been added to the mode. Simply finish 15 rounds in a single game of Classic Zombies and you can earn a bonus Tier Skip for the Black Market. Stay tuned for more info when the update goes live later today.
