Big news- ahead of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 beta for its battle royale mode, titled Blackout, going live, Treyarch have taken to Twitter and unveiled the full map of the mode. The map, Treyarch says, is the largest one in the history of the Call of Duty series- which makes sense. You can’t really have a proper battle royale match on a map that isn’t large.
The map clubs together various maps from previous Treyarch games. Nuketown is in there as Nuketown Island, while Verruckt makes it in too, called Asylum. There’s also Array, Cargo (called Cargo Docks here), Rivertown, Hydro Dam, Turbine, and a lot, lot more. You can take a look at the entire map below.
Black Ops 4’s Blackout will have a total of 80 players per match, Treyarch recently confirmed, while it was also confirmed that sections of the map would also have AI controller zombie enemies. Meanwhile, Treyarch recently also spoke about the vehicles in Blackout.
The Blackout beta begins on PS4 on September 10, and on September 14 for Xbox One and PC, while full access will be open to all players across all three systems starting September 15. Black Ops 4 itself launches on October 12.
