Update: It will release on July 3rd, 2014.
As with every other Call of Duty game (including this year’s upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare), Call of Duty: Ghosts first got its DLC available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One; this includes the Invasion DLC, which is the third map pack released for the game, and includes four new mutiplayer maps, as well as ‘Awakening,’ which is the next installment in the game’s ‘Extinction’ saga.
This being the third map pack for Ghosts should mean that there is one more left before Advanced Warfare releases, and post release support shifts to it instead of Ghosts; it is safe to assume that the fourth map pack, called Nemesis, will also be hitting the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 before it hits PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, or PC.
Call of Duty: Ghosts was developed by Infinity Ward, and was the first non Modern Warfare Call of Duty game developed by the team since 2007’s Modern Warfare. It was released for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, Wii U, and PC.
