A furor was created earlier today when it was revealed that Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts would be running on the PlayStation 4 in native 1080p. Despite the clusterf**k that the issue has seemingly become – which you can read more about on NeoGAF – it seems that it’s better to wait for publisher Activision to confirm things before jumping to conclusions. And this advice comes from none other than President of Sony’s Worldwide Studios for SCE Shuhei Yoshida on Twitter.
@___Dax___ wait for Activision to confirm

However, even if it isn’t, users are reporting that the game doesn’t necessarily look all that great – despite being on a next-generation console. Considering Activision’s history of Call of Duty titles being superior on Xbox 360 while suffering on PS3 and PC, we have to wonder if this is a similar tragedy in the making.
Call of Duty: Ghosts launches on November 5th for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC, with the PS4 version releasing on November 15th in North America and November 29th in Europe. The Xbox One version will release on November 22nd.
