Call of Duty Ghosts Receives Drop Zone Playlist, Tweaks to Extinction

The new update also puts Onslaught DLC maps in to rotation for regular playlists.

Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Ghosts has reportedly received a new playlist update which removes the playlist for the Onslaught DLC and puts all four maps into rotation for regular playlists. There’s also a new Drop Zone game mode that’s been added to matchmaking.

Drop Zone was first introduced in Modern Warfare 3 and sees two competing times trying to control a specific location. It’s like King of the Hill except the location changes and those who control it longer receive Care Packages for their efforts along with points.

As of now, the update is seemingly live on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. PS3 and PS4 users will receive the update on March 13th, so stay tuned tomorrow for the same. Along with playlist updates, Extinction mode has also apparently been modified to allow players to upgrade equipment and abilities. We’ll have the full patch notes when Infinity Ward releases the same.
