Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Infinity Ward’s continuation of the reboot saga, is out on October 28th. However, those who digitally pre-ordered the title can access the campaign as early as October 20th (with actual play time subject to “outages and applicable time zone differences”). Check out the latest trailer below, which briefly showcases some new environments players will traverse.
Set three years after the formation of Task Force 141, Modern Warfare 2 sees the elite unit battling a terrorist organization and the Las Almas drug cartel. Along with Captain Price, Gaz and Farah, the sequel marks the debut of John “Soap” Mactavish and Simon “Ghost” Riley in the rebooted storyline. More extensive gameplay, primarily focused on the group infiltrating an enemy ship, can be seen here.
As for multiplayer, the shooter’s open beta begins in mid-September. Infinity Ward will host a reveal event on September 15th, providing extensive details on the mode and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 along with the mobile Call of Duty: Warzone title, Project Aurora. Stay tuned in the meantime.
