Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Launches on October 28

A bizarre new trailer focuses on artwork canvas for the upcoming shooter in a cargo shipyard, which also confirms its release date.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s release date has been revealed in the most bizarre manner possible. After having revealed its name and logo not too long ago, Activision has now confirmed (true to the leaks) that this year’s Call of Duty entry will be launching a little earlier than usual- Modern Warfare 2 is out on October 28.

What exactly is so strange about the reveal through? Well, the trailer is focused entirely on the game’s artwork- and all of it is on canvas hung up on a cargo shipyard. It’s… something. Check it out below.

The trailer confirms the return of Task Force 141, and several familiar characters, including the likes of Captain John Price, Simon “Ghost” Riley, John “Soap” MacTavish, and Kyle “Gaz” Garrick. Modern Warfare 2 will also add a new character to the Task Force in Mexican Special Forces Colonel Alejandro Vargas.

According to leaks, a full reveal of the shooter will arrive sometime in June, so it probably won’t be too long before we get concrete details on the game and see some actual gameplay. Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 – which is also being developed by Infinity Ward – has been in the rumour mill quite bit of late, and is also expected to be announced later this year.
