Infinity Ward is in the driving seat for this year’s Call of Duty premium instalment once more, and the developer has been teasing the game in the lead-up to its full reveal of late. Recently, the game’s logo and name – which, unsurprisingly, is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 – were also revealed, and the time for the game’s full reveal is also approaching.

When exactly will that happen though? According to a report published on Exputer by known insider Tom Henderson, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be revealed sometime in June. Over on Twitter, @TheGhostOfHope, who has accurately leaked Call of Duty info in the past, says the exact date for the reveal is set on June 2.

Henderson writes in his report that like past Call of Duty reveals, Modern Warfare 2 will be revealed with a trailer focused on the game’s campaign, which will be followed by an extended look at campaign gameplay footage in June itself. With Summer Game Fest officially set for June 9, it’s possible that that’s where the gameplay reveal will be showcased, especially with Henderson being informed by sources that the reveal will arrive “at an event when E3 was meant to be.”

The multiplayer reveal, as always, will arrive later, and could potentially be set for August, though it’s unclear if it will be accompanied by an in-game event in Call of Duty: Warzone like the past two years were.

Henderson also claims that Call of Duty: Warzone 2, which is also in development at Infinity Ward, will launch within weeks of Modern Warfare 2 rather than months. Activision recently said that the game will be revealed later this year, but more specific details remain unavailable.

In line with previous reports, it’s also claimed that Modern Warfare 2 will launch either in October or November.
