Infinity Ward has been a little shy on sharing new campaign footage for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (which changes later this month). But it’s been fairly open about the game’s multiplayer which features large battles, 2v2 shootouts in Gunfight and more tactical approach. Fans will have a chance to try it out themselves though – the beta for multiplayer goes live in just a few days.
To tease the same, a new trailer has been released featuring tanks, helicopters and the standard Call of Duty fare (read: running and gunning). The beta starts on September 12th for those who pre-ordered on PS4 but will be available to all PS4 players from September 14th to 16th. On September 19th, Xbox One and PC pre-orders will have a chance to get in with the PS4 open beta continuing.
On September 21st to 23rd, the open beta will be available on all platforms. Cross-play will be available to test during this period so it’ll offer a taste of how the input-based system works. Of course, users can also opt out of playing against certain platforms.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is out on October 25th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
