Call of Duty: Vanguard – Free Multiplayer Access Slated for the Weekend

Call of Duty: Vanguard's first free access weekend starts Thursday, and includes the entirety of the game's multiplayer offerings.

Activision and Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Vanguard has recently been released to mostly middling reviews, and the developer has already announced free access period for its multiplayer component. Call of Duty: Vanguard will be available for free from Thursday, November 18th at 10 am PT to Monday, November 22nd.

The free trial period will be available across all platforms (PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S). A point worth mentioning is that the free version will only include the game’s multiplayer component, so fans wouldn’t be able to experience the campaign. That said, the entirety of the game’s multiplayer launch content will be available to play. Of course, all progression in the free weekend will be carried over to the full game too.

Call of Duty: Vanguard hasn’t been as big of a commercial success as its predecessors either, as the game marked the franchise’s worst launch in the UK 14 years. Meanwhile, publisher Activision has also come under scrutiny once again, and employees are now demanding CEO Bobby Kotick’s resignation.
