Call of Duty: Vanguard’s Latest Update Fixes Issues With Multiplayer and Zombies

Call of Duty: Vanguard's latest update includes a bunch of fixes to the game's multiplayer and Zombies modes, but it robs players of their mid-level campaign progress.

Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: Vanguard recently released to largely lukewarm critical reception, and a new update for the game has now made several fixes to various components. However, it should also be noted that those who install the update will be robbed of their mid-level progress, as the checkpoint will be invalidated and will send players back to the start of that mission.

On the other hand, Sledgehammer seems to have fixed an issue where players weren’t able to unlock any XP boosts and the like using redeem codes. There’s also been fixes to the game’s multiplayer component, as the Combat Shield now works as supposed while holstered on a player’s back. Operator challenges have been fixed, alongside other minor issues that have been ironed out in the Zombies mode.

While Call of Duty: Vanguard is a fine enough game on its own, it doesn’t seem to have done much to shake the series’ formula – something that’s been a recurring theme in the franchise for some time now. Read our review for the game through here.
