Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 Crosses 25 Million Players in 5 Days

Despite various issues, the free-to-play battle royale shooter is a massive hit. It's available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, the latest free-to-play battle royale from Infinity Ward and Raven Software, has had over 25 million players in just five days since launch. By comparison, the original Call of Duty: Warzone had over 30 million players within ten days of its launch.

Given Warzone’s immense popularity, it’s probably not surprising. Along with offering a new map, Al-Mazrah, and various new features, Warzone 2.0 also marks the introduction of DMZ. This PvEvP mode sees players dropping in, fighting against AI combatants and real players for loot, and extracting.

The experience hasn’t been without its issues, though. An invisibility glitch has been plaguing the battle royale experience, and some players have reported a bug that asks them to purchase Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to play. Expect these to be resolved in the coming days, if not sooner.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is available for Xbox One, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Check out our review here.
