Codename Volt, Sci-fi Open World Action Game, is Hangar 13’s Unannounced Project – Rumour

A major leak describes the Mafia developer's next game as "Cthulhu meets Saints Row", which is information that falls in line with job listings published by the developer over the last year.

From a new Borderlands spinoff with likely reveal at E3 to an XCOM-style game with Marvel heroes being developed by Firaxis, recent new leak on Reddit has spilled the beans on a number of major projects in the works across several studios at 2K. And with the likes of VGC, GamesBeat, and Jason Schreier having corroborated the leak, there’s certainly reason to believe that the details are credible.

Another major unannounced game that’s been detailed in the leak is Codename Volt, which is an open world sci-fi action game being made by Hangar 13, the studio behind Mafia 3 and Mafia: Definitive Edition. According to the leak, the game supposedly has a logo that looks similar to Fallout, and can be described as “Cthulhu meets Saints Row“- which is definitely an eye-catching description.

Whether or not the game is being revealed any time soon remains to be seen. The project apparently doesn’t have a final name yet, and the leaker states that the game looked “rough” in the trailer that they saw. But if there is a trailer, there’s a chance the game is ready to be revealed. On this point, we’re just going to have to wait and watch.

Several job listings posted by Hangar 13 over the last year or so have suggested that the developer is working on a new open world IP with sci-fi/fantasy elements, and that it could have multiplayer component as well.
