Despite being popular for its multiplayer mode, there is a dedicated contingent of gamers who also enjoy the single-player mode of Call of Duty (yes, seriously). To further that experience and allow for co-op play, Infinity Ward introduced Spec Ops with Modern Warfare 2, which evolved into Spec Ops Survival for Modern Warfare 3 – a venerable Horde mode of sorts.
Will it make a return in Call of Duty: Ghosts? Community coordinator Candice Capen tweeted that a co-op mode was in the works. Of course, when that announcement could come about isn’t yet known.

Call of Duty: Ghosts features a brand new storyline, in which the remnants of US Special Forces band together to fight off oppressive super-powers in the American wasteland. It will release on November 5th 2013 for Xbox 360, PC, PS3 and Wii U with a release for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to be announced.
