Remedy Entertainment’s Control is out next month and will be coming to Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It will also support ray-tracing through Nvidia RTX, providing even more staggering detail to The Oldest House. Today, the developer has released system requirements for PC users via the Epic Games Store. Suffice it to say that you’ll need some serious hardware for Nvidia’s RTX technology.
If you’re running the minimum requirements, then an Intel Core i5-7500 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X along with a GeForce GTX 1060 will suffice. However, an RTX 2060 is recommended for ray-tracing. The recommended requirements include an Intel Core i5-8600K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti. Want the best ray-tracing possible? Better have an RTX 2080 raring to go.
It’s excessive, but Remedy has assured players that the PC version of Control will be “as good as it can be.” The game is out on August 27th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Hopefully, there won’t be any issues when observing the full extent of ray-tracing, 4K resolution, and 60 FPS in all of its glory.
