Crackdown 3 Review Embargo Reportedly Lifts On February 11

Reviews for the open world title will supposedly start coming in four days before launch.

After a prolonged development cycle and multiple delays, Crackdown 3 will finally be releasing in just a little over two weeks. Given its troubled development, there is plenty of skepticism surrounding how the final product will turn out, and apparently, we’ll have a fair idea of just that a few days before launch.

According to ResetEra poster ZhugeEX, who is also an analyst at Niko Partners, the review embargo for Crackdown 3 will lift four days before the game’s launch, which means reviews for the game from publications will start going live on February 11. Though this isn’t confirmed via Metacritic or Opencritic, that does seem like the timeline you would expect for reviews to start going live.

When Crackdown 3 launches, it will do so with a full fledged campaign, as well as a 5v5 multiplayer component called Wrecking Zone, the latter of which will showcase the game’s cloud-powered destructible environments in all their glory (no battle royale, though- but also no microtransactions). The game launches on February 15 for the Xbox One and PC, and will also be joining the Xbox Game Pass catalog on the day of release itself.
