Crimson Desert Pre-Loads Begin on March 17th, Global Launch Timings Revealed

All platforms will have 48 hours to pre-download Pearl Abyss's massive open-world title, which goes live at 3 PM PDT on March 19th.

Along with a snazzy new launch trailer that somehow showcases even more cool things that you can do, Crimson Desert’s pre-load date has been confirmed. It’s available on March 17th in the Western Hemisphere and March 18th in the Eastern Hemisphere, as helpfully denoted by Pearl Abyss.

As for the launch timings, 3 PM PDT on March 19th appears to be the worldwide start. Regardless of your location, Crimson Desert will be available at the same time locally, which translates to 6 PM EST in New York, 10 PM GMT in London and 7 AM JST on March 20th for Tokyo. Some regions will have to wake up early to get their hands on it, but considering the hype, it may be well worth it.

Crimson Desert will be available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Originally intended as a prequel to Black Desert, it would become a live service title before Pearl Abyss spun it out into a single-player action-adventure. Players control Kliff, a member of the Greymane mercenaries, who ends up separated from his group after an attack by the Black Bears.

Seeking to reunite the group, he ventures through Pywel, becoming entangled in the local politics and learning about the mysterious Abyss, whose Artifacts are coveted by dark forces. For more details on what to expect, check out our feature here.
