Cyberpunk 2077 is going to blow the hinges off the doors when it releases in 2020. The game will be large both on the technical scale as well as the sales department, with some estimating that it could sell upwards to 20 million within its first year. There’s a seemingly endless amount of buzz surrounding the game, and one such thing that had everyone a flutter was that Keanu Reeves will be playing the key role of Johnny Silverhand. And it seems he loved it enough that he wanted more screen time.
According to TGCOM 24 journalist Gian Luca Rocco via their Facebook, he spoke to the Italian dub actor (Luca Ward), who revealed that Reeves loved the character so much he asked CD Projekt RED to extend the role, which they were happy to do, meaning Ward also had to double his own lines in the dub (which presumably applies to all dub work for other languages as well).
We already knew that Johnny Silverhand was going to be major role in the game, but sounds like it extended even more than originally intended. You got to look forward to seeing what it’s all about when Cyberpunk 2077 releases April 16th 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
