While next month may belong to titles like Starfield and Mortal Kombat 1, CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is also heavily anticipated. It received a new trailer and extensive gameplay at Gamescom 2023, and in the company’s first half 2023 earnings conference, CD Projekt revealed it was “very happy” about current pre-orders.
Pre-orders opened up about two months ago for the expansion, and while the publisher is satisfied, it expects more pre-orders to arrive “during the final pre-release days.” There’s still more marketing to be done, as the next stop on the Phantom Liberty Tour after Cologne, Germany, is Tokyo, Japan, likely for the Tokyo Game Show from September 21st to 24th.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty launches on September 26th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. It adds a new story focused on NUSA president Rosalind Myers, whose spacecraft crash lands in Dogtown. Players can interact with new characters like Solomon Reed (played by Idris Elba) and discover over 100 new items. Check out more details here.
