Cyberpunk 2077 Will “Probably Not” Release on the Switch

So you're telling me there's a chance?

None of us ever thought that The Witcher 3, of all games, would ever be ported to the Switch, but Saber Interactive and CD Projekt RED worked their magic, and it’s actually happening. Next year, CDPR launch their next game, and Cyberpunk 2077 is looking like it’s going to push the PS4 and Xbox One’s hardware to the absolute max. But is there a chance that the game comes over to the Switch some time down the road as well?

Well, as you may have probably guessed, it’s unlikely. In an interview with GameSpot, John Mamais, head of CD Projekt RED’s Krakow office, was asked if the upcoming RPG will ever make its way to the Nintendo Switch. Krakow brought up The Witcher 3’s Switch port, mentioning how no one ever thought that would be possible. That said, he went on to say that a similar port for Cyberpunk 2077 will probably not happen, even though CDPR might look into it.

“Who would have thought a game like The Witcher 3 would be possible on Switch, so who knows?” said Mamais. “I guess we’ll see, if we decide to put it on the Switch, if we can do it. Probably not.”

Cyberpunk 2077 is due out for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia on April 16, 2020.
