Gunfire Games’ Darksiders 3 will finally be releasing next month, following a years-long struggle to release sequel following the bankruptcy of THQ in 2013. With the third game eschewing the open world gameplay of the second, what kind of playtime can fans expect? WCCFTech spoke to Reinhard Pollice, who’s the business and product development director at THQ Nordic, about the same, and here’s what he said.
“Playtime is always a tricky question as it depends on numerous factors,” he said. “On average, we would say somewhere around 15-hours-plus, which is similar to the first Darksiders.” Pollice didn’t outline what those “numerous factors” were, but perhaps it includes collectibles, secrets, and so on. Those who possess high dynamic range (or HDR) displays are also in luck, since the game will support the same.
Darksiders 3 continues the story laid out in the first game. In the midst of the apocalypse, Horseman Fury is tasked with hunting down the Seven Deadly Sins. She’ll accomplish this using whips and magic, along with different forms that grant new abilities and weapons. Darksiders 3 is out on November 27th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
