Among the many changes that Dead Space’s upcoming remake is making to the base experience, one of the most notable is protagonist Isaac Clarke no longer being a silent protagonist. Unlike the original, and like his appearances in Dead Space 2 and 3, Isaac will speak, and will be portrayed once again by Gunner Wright. But what about the other characters in the game’s cast?
EA and developer Motive Studio have now also revealed – via the game’s cryptic Instagram account The Bench – the actors who will be portraying some of the upcoming survival horror remake’s other core characters. Nicole will be voiced by Tanya Clarke, who, of course, also voiced her in 2011’s Dead Space 2, while former NFL athlete Anthony Alabi is lending his voice to Zach Hammond.
Meanwhile, Kendra Daniels is being played by Brigitte Kali Canales, who is known for her roles as Rachel in Fear the Walking Dead and Trace Martez in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: The Bad Batch. Finally, Faran Tahir is voicing Challus Mercer (Iron Man, Star Trek).
Dead Space is set to launch on January 27, 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Check out nearly an hour of gameplay footage through here.
